This was the super moon, not quite full, on April 7th, taken just after high tide. This was at the end of one of those amazing days we had in early April; non stop sunshine and everyone confined to their homes. Lyme has been looking stunning recently with flat, calm Greek island type scenery. On days like this I often think we could be on the Med.

We more than deserve this after the last six months of rain and gales on an almost daily basis. Although I haven’t actually seen it, the very large grey seal is back and was seen between the end of the Cobb and the Beacon post in the area called the Pool. Last year, when fishermen left their dinghies out there, this seal’s favourite thing to do was to climb intothe boat and bask in the sun for hours – leaving a lot of mess in the bilges.

If and when we are allowed out again and the world slowly gets back to how it should be, we will be more than ready to resume normal service with Lyme Regis deep sea fishing and Lyme Regis mackerel fishing trips, all leaving from Lyme Regis Harbour. This will be my first Easter in 48 years that I won’t be taking out boat trips and I will miss it enormously .
